The hit video "Thriller" had the preeminent influence among the music industry when it was launched in 1983 because of its unusual theme and effects it made Ortega to think of a movie focused character in the video, Vincent Price, an actor known for horror films.

Ortega said that "The "Thriller" is going to be less budgeted because of several large production houses which includes lionsgate and Fox 2000 wants to procure production rights.

The film directed by Ortega and produced by GK Films has created a series of other similar initiatives, including a film about superstar’s childhood that will be produced shortly.
